Nepal’s Defiant Dalit Journalist (Director, Producer), 2022 A Dalit journalist explores the relationship between caste, land, and abuses of power in Nepal. A Disillusioned Soldier (Director, Producer, ), 2012 Shot over a year, the film explores a young Maoist former guerrilla fighter’s disillusionment with the party after Nepal’s Maoists join mainstream politics. From Bullets to Ballots: Filmed over four years, from shortly before Nepal’s peace agreement was signed up to the period after election in 2008, the film follows four women from Nepal’s Maoist party and their personal battles as the country moves from war to peace. Birth in Nepal (Director, Producer) , 2010- A personal journey to Far-Western Nepal while I was five-months pregnant, to see for myself why so many women in my country die while giving birth. The film has been used extensively in American university programs on maternal health.
